This hands-on workshop focuses on one of Portugal’s best-known classics: pastéis de bacalhau (codfish cakes). On arrival, the group is welcomed into the space and guided through the full process, from preparing the mixture to frying the final batch. Everyone learns the traditional recipe and the “quenelle” shaping technique, with close guidance and an easy pace that works even for those who never cook.
While the codfish cakes are frying, the moment naturally turns into a relaxed break for conversation, with a glass of wine shared among colleagues. The workshop includes the full experience, step-by-step guidance throughout, and a tasting of the codfish cakes made by the group.
Guests arrive at the scheduled time and step straight into the workshop setting. The session runs in a practical, smooth format, starting with a clear explanation of the recipe and a demonstration of the key techniques. From there, each participant gets involved at their own pace—shaping, preparing and frying the pastéis. The time is well balanced between learning and conversation, creating a light, collaborative team dynamic.
For groups of up to 20 people, the workshop runs all at once. Larger groups take part in rotations, ensuring a comfortable setting and dedicated attention throughout. The experience wraps up informally with a tasting of the freshly made codfish cakes and that shared feeling of having spent quality time together as a team.
As an optional add-on, the journey itself can become part of the experience. Rather than standard transport, we propose routes by tuk tuk, e-bike or Spinach, creating arrivals that feel dynamic, relaxed and in tune with the pace of your team-building programme.
This experience is optional and tailored to each group. The start point, end point and timings are chosen by the client, giving full flexibility when shaping the day. It becomes a shared moment that sets the tone for what comes next or keeps the conversation going after the table, unhurried and uninterrupted.
